As someone who was petrified of the dentist, it seemed strange to consider having implants, but I only had five upper teeth and two were loose, so it was vital. I was constantly aware of my lack of teeth and so did not smile very often. David explained the procedure to me and assured that it would not be painful, though I am not sure I was convinced! A few weeks after the removal of the upper teeth the implants were put in place. I was aware of what was happening to me whilst the implants were inserted, but felt no pain then or that night. In fact David and I talked and laughed during the procedure. The four implants were inserted ready for the bar and denture. Over the next few months I had many visits to get the best denture for me. David used a photograph of me showing my teeth to match my denture with my natural teeth. The final result is that not only am I now able to smile at people, but it makes me look younger. I am now able to eat anything I wish – including biting into an apple! My quality of life has vastly improved and still no pain – Marvellous!
